Help one to help many.
Wellington
Hi,
My name is Jacob Beveridge, a recent high school graduate about to embark on a life changing journey.
On the 23rd of January in 2017 I will begin the start of five incredible months with Marine Reach New Zealand. Marine Reach is an organisation that uses ships to take aid to those who wouldn’t otherwise receive it in the Asia Pacific Region. This aid is given in the form of educational programmes, building projects, relationship building and medical care.
These much-needed services are provided for free with medical and other experienced professionals who volunteer their time and skills to help the people groups of these remote communities. My role whilst volunteering alongside these humanitarian leaders will be to provide help and support in a variety of tasks where and when I am needed, including land and ship based clinics providing much-needed dental and medical procedures. For 2017, Marine Reach are committed to helping the Pacific Island nation of Vanuatu; which is where I will be heading.
So that I do not take away any resources from the communities in need, I must provide $10,000 to cover the training costs and operational costs of my involvement in the field.
My current job will ensure that I can fund $3,500 of the costs on my own, but I am going to need some extra support in order to get going.
I would like to ask you if you would consider partnering with me on this life changing adventure as I set out with other like-minded volunteers filled with the same Kiwi spirit of helping out our neighbours.
Thank you for your support and contribution, you're not only making a huge difference in my life but also in the lives of many others!
I am involved because I have a passion to serve others wherever I can. This is an incredible opportunity on offer to serve the surrounding nations of New Zealand, specifically the rural communities that would otherwise not receive such special care, and is an opportunity I would like to make the most of.
