We are the Big Kingies,
You may have heard of the Rickshaw Run and the crazy stories that come out of it, but if not here's the basic rundown:
The run we will be completing is in India where we will be attempting to make our way almost 3000km from Kochi (down the bottom) to Jaisalmir (up the top) in a Tuk Tuk, which has more in common with a lawnmower than a motorvehicle.
Like any adventure, this decision was spontaneously decided upon with the only information coming from a few videos stumbled upon on youtube. Before we knew it, we had signed up and committed the month of August to survive in India but with the positive goal of raising money for charity.
The main charity we will be raising money for is Cool Earth of which our goal is about $2000 NZD, and any money we raise over this amount we have decided we will donate to the Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand.
About Cool Earth:
Half of the world’s rainforest has been destroyed in the last 40 years. And, contrary to the headlines, rainforest continues to be lost at a faster rate than ever. But it’s not too late. Cool Earth believes the rainforest can be saved. We just need a new approach.
That’s why we don’t create reserves or put up fences. We don’t buy land. Instead, we put local people back in control of their forest.

In August, three of us (Matthew, Tom and Jake) will be travelling to India to participate in the Richshaw run, for which we will be raising money for the Cool Earth environmental charity and any money raised over our goal will go towards NZ mental health
All money raised will go directly to the charities, the rest of the trip is funded completely by us, so don't worry we are not taking your money to travel the world.
