Support for Jethro and the Chiet family
Auckland
The Chiet family will be staying in hospital and at Ronald McDonald House in Auckland for the next six months. As many of you know gorgeous wee Jethro has been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and has begun six months of chemotherapy at Starship Hospital.
Philip and Jo have decided it is important to be together as a family unit in Auckland to support Jethro and each other. Philip's employer have been very understanding giving Philip six months leave of absence, so the family can be together in Auckland.
Philip and Jo are still a little uneasy allowing us to set up this site. However, many people have been asking what they can do to help and that is why we have set up this page. To allow those asking a way to provide support, nothing more.
There is no expectation of anyone to give, any support received will help the family in Auckland while Philip is off work with expenses both in Whanganui and Auckland.
We would like to thank everyone for their love and prayers and the strength you are giving Jethro, Philip, Jo and Micah as they face a challenging time to get Jethro back to full health

March 14...Round two done and dusted 14 March 2016
Jethro has been at Starship Hospital in Auckland for 7 weeks now. His first round of chemotherapy achieved its mission: the leukaemia is in remission! He has just completed the second round and will still have 4 more rounds over the next 4 months to mop up any residual cancer. Jethro has managed to win over all his nurses with his sparkling smile and kisses, he is a true charmer and the most stoic kid we've ever known.
Mum, Dad and big brother are settling into hospital life in Auckland, feeling so blessed by all the love and support from friends and family far and near. We are truly grateful to each and every person helping us on our journey xx
