Jolanda needs access to non-funded treatments to help her fight stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.

Canterbury

Jolanda is a wonderful person who is loved by many. She is adventurous, outgoing and an otherwise healthy, young woman. She is a mother and a partner. She is a daughter, a sister, a sister-in-law and a dear friend.

In 2017, she was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. Following a double mastectomy, reconstruction surgery, chemotherapy and other funded treatments, she was given the "all clear".

It is now 2019 and five weeks ago Jolanda was told that the cancer was back…this time in her liver and spine. The diagnosis and prognosis are hard to hear.

She has already started treatment and needs to throw everything she can at this terrible disease. Chemotherapy and other drug-related therapies are just as important as they were the first-time round. However, this time, Jolanda needs to do more to change the prognosis.

Jolanda has a strong spirit and the will to live…she won't take this lying down. She is undergoing many different, non-funded and alternative treatments to help prolong her life. These include IV vitamin C three times a week, hyperbaric oxygen treatment and re-purposed drugs, like artemisinin. There is also a chance that an immuno-oncology treatment could work, called keytruda. However, the financial strain is now showing and she needs help to raise money for these and other non-funded treatments she comes across in her search for an answer.

Please help Jolanda fight to stay alive…
