Young family seeking emergency bridging funds during crisis.
Canterbury
On 2nd January Jonny had a seizure at work. Thankfully some customers of ours were there and phoned an ambulance. Thankfully all the tests the doctors conducted come back clear, however Jonny is now needing to rest whilst getting back on his feet. Once he feels better, he will be unable to drive for potentially a year and we live in a rural area with no public bus service and therefore a difficult commute anywhere. On top of that, he is the sole person who runs our own little cafe business, which is in its infancy so cashflow has always been a challenge.
We have a 10 month old son, whom Rushani cares for full-time, so already were down to one income. Having Jonny out of work is difficult as our insurance does not cover this event and we put everything we had into this business. The seizure has made us see that this amount of work and stress puts too much of a toll on Jonny and so we need to look seriously at the real possibility of closing the business, something we have worked so long and so hard to get up and running.
So many people have offered help and so we thought it may be wise to start up a Givealittle page. If you feel inclined, you can donate a little to help us with our personal living costs, whilst we sort out where to from here.
I am Jonny's wife, a stay-at-home mum to our 10-month old son. We would really appreciate a little assistance whilst we get back on our feet.
The money will be used to pay our immediate weekly personal bills, such as rent, groceries, power, internet that our weekly drawings would otherwise pay.
