Please help support Jo and her family as she undergoes treatment for a stage 4 glioblastoma tumour

This fundraising page has been set up to support Jo and her beautiful family - her partner Dwayne and their 2 young daughters aged 4 and 5 years old. Jo is the kindest, most genuine person you could ever meet. She has always been there for her family & friends and is always the first person to offer help when needed….but now it is our turn to help her.

Jo has been diagnosed with a stage 4 Glioblastoma tumour and is about to start treatment. This includes intravenous Vitamin C to boost her immunity, followed by 6 weeks of radiation and then chemotherapy.

Day to day life for this family has changed drastically since Jo’s diagnosis a couple of weeks ago and we want to ensure that they have all the support that they need.

Jo has been one of my closest friends since we met in London back in 1999. We travelled around Europe together sharing many adventures and making lifelong memories. We both moved back to NZ at a similar time and we have continued over the past 18 years to share many more fun times and adventures together. They say friends are chosen family, and this is definitely the case with Jo - her and her beautiful family are an extension of mine. Together we will help her fight this battle ahead and we are determined to stay as positive and strong as she has always been for us.

Use of funds

Obviously due to the severity of Jo’s symptoms she has had to give up work so any funds raised will go towards the costs of their day to day living as Jo undergoes the above treatment. Any additional funds will be used for future treatments for Jo and/or for the family to use to ensure their well being and happiness.

It is hard to believe that it has been almost 8 months since Jo was diagnosed with a stage 4 glioblastoma tumour - or in more simple terms, a terminal brain tumour.

Jo is Mum to 2 beautiful young girls, she is the partner of Dwayne who is her rock and his love and support for her has been unwavering.

We need to do everything we can to give her more time with them. Jo has been going through both radiation and chemotherapy for the past 6 months and her strength and positivity has been incredible to watch, despite the effects it has had on her.

Please help support Jo and her family as she continues to undergo treatment. The funds raised will go towards helping to ease the day to day struggles that this family is undergoing and will help towards treatments to give Jo more time.
