Justine and her family could use our support to tour the country and make memories.

Those that know Justine know she is a much-loved 39-year-old mother to six-year-old Madeline, wife to Dominic, daughter, sister, friend and work-mate.
Sadly Justine was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Stage 4 colorectal cancer in March 2020.
Since her diagnosis, and during COVID-19 lockdown and associated level changes, Justine has put her all into her fight against her cancer through New Zealand's publicly-funded options. She's faced a range of surgeries, treatments, and long lonely hospital stays to battle the cancer and its spread. As a reaction to her different treatments, Justine's had to spend a lot of time recovering — with much more time in bed and away from her loved ones than she'd like.
Within the last week Justine and Dominic have had to make a heart-breaking decision to stop Justine's treatments following a prognosis that's sadly confirmed the ongoing and unstoppable spread of her cancer.
Instead, Justine and Dominic want to shift their focus to their family, so that Justine can be as well and comfortable as possible to get out and see as many places and people as she is able to. At the very least Justine would like to head back to Akaroa with Dominic and Madeline.
To help ease their financial situation, we thought sharing Justine's story with her extended family, friend and community network could help.
We want Justine to be supported to travel on a Grand Tour — with any additional funds expected to allow her family to spend as much quality time together as they can.
Justine is my sister-in-law — I'm Dominic's brother and Madeline's uncle. Justine's family and friends want to support Justine and her family in any way we can.
Funds will be used to allow Justine, Dominic and Madeline to travel to a few places around New Zealand. Any additional funds raised will be used to support Justine and her family so they can focus on spending quality time together.
Thank you 1 December 2020
Justine's fundraiser page has now closed.
I wanted to send thanks to all 240 of you generous donors/donor groups over the last few weeks, and for Justine's friends and family who have helped Dominic and Madeline offline through what has been a tough time.
It's been really humbling to know how far the tendrils of Justine's community go, and that so many will remember her.
Love and gratitude to you all.
— Patrick
