Help the Kākāpō!

Wild spaces are not a resource! I want to be able to contribute something in return for the time I am about to spend enjoying New Zealand

Nationwide

Ever looked at a beautiful flock of birds soaring majestically overhead and lost yourself into fantasies of gliding gracefully through the clouds? They were definitely not Kākāpō. These giant parrots plod around the forest on their own and freeze with fear when startled, small wonder theres only about 200 of them left in the world. Introduced species like cats and stoats are a menace to these big goofy fluff balls.

This month I have the privilege of embarking on a 3000 km hike from the lowest point of New Zealand to the top, Te Araroa Trail. I will be making a donation to the trail fund on completion of the walk but would like to give something back to the land by raising funds for the Kākāpō trust, hopefully to keep these big weird creatures around for a little bit longer.
