Kane has Multiple Sclerosis (MS). Since a cure is still far off financial help is required to enhance Kane’s quality of life.
Seven years ago Kane returned home to New Zealand following a diagnosis of MS. Since this event Kane has tried many avenues to heath and wellbeing and remains optimistic and hopeful about his future.
Since the diagnosis, Kane’s health has deteriorated and he can no longer work and is reliant on government support. More recently his physical health and his accessibility has been compromised yet he continues to be determined and optimistic. Kane has future aspirations and would love to get back to work and make a contribution to his community.
At a recent specialist appointment he was advised about treatment known as LEMTRADA. LEMTRADA is a drug used to treat relapsing MS conditions. It is an antibody that targets specific receptors to moderate immune responses. This is not government funded and is only available in Australia, the treatment costs $200,000 NZD.
Please make a donation to help Kane get mobile again and give him a better quality of life. We may not make the full amount on this site and we are trying other funding streams - every little bit counts.

I am a friend of Kane's who is fundraising on his behalf. Kane remains one of the optimistic people I know and is as sharp as a tack. I would love to see Kane be able to make a contribution and not be held back by his disability.
