We are raising funds to help Kate and her family through her rehabilitation programme to enable Kate to walk again.

Kate and her family have been through three years of debilitating illness. There have been far too many hospital admissions for a multitude of symptoms that main stream health care is unable to treat.

Kate suffers from limbic encephalitis (swelling of the brain), central neural sensitisation syndrome and Allodynia (chronic pain in all limbs and hypersensitivity of the skin), 24/7 migraines, chronic fatigue and the list of symptoms goes on.

Kate was a healthy, active, gorgeous 12 year old enjoying life. Her life was turned upside down after a course of vaccinations that destroyed her immune and central nervous systems. For the past three years Kate has rarely attended school and her life now consists of doctors visits, hospital admissions, dealing daily with excruciating pain along with the loss of her social interaction with her friends.

Use of funds

After another recent 12 day hospital admission with no answers Kate is now attending a private rehab clinic (Neurophysics) who have had great success rehabilitating severely injured and disabled clients.

Kate is currently in a wheelchair unable to move voluntarily from the waist down. With these funds Kate will be able to attend a 12 week programme to help her begin to walk again and reduce her pain.

Deb (her mum) is now unable to work as she needs to be with Kate full time.
