Super Selbys and the Fight Against Cancer

This is my lovely friend Katia, her wonderful hardworking husband Josh, and her utterly gorgeous children Jasmine (aged 7) and Andre (aged 3). After more than 8 years together, Katia and Josh were married just 18 months ago. It was the happiest day of their lives.

Katia was very recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Katia is just 34. She went to the doctor numerous times requesting a mammogram, but she was told she was too young, and "it was probably nothing". She is now booked in for a double mastectomy for a very large tumour. They also suspect she may have ovarian cancer to, but are concentrating on the breast cancer for now.

Earlier this year, Katia's short term part time work contract ended. Josh is working all the hours that his work can give him, but it's very tough financially. Really tough. Josh will need to take unpaid time off work in order to help Katia recover from surgery in the days and weeks ahead.
