Kaurilands Save Our Pool
Kaurilands School needs to Save Our Pool!
Pools play a vital role in community safety, well being and quality of life, but our one's in trouble. Our school pool area requires major maintenance to remain operational. Unfortunately the Ministry of Education funding we receive will not cover the costs. Fixing our pool is the most cost effective and best solution all round - to decommission our pool would be triple the cost of fixing it!
As a community we value this important resource in helping our tamariki become confident in and around water and familiar with water safety.
Kaurilands School's involvement (page creator)
The Save Our Pool committee is raising funds through a variety of events and initiatives.
We need to Save Our Pool! The school pool area requires major maintenance and earthworks to remain operational. As a community we value the school pool as an important resource and the opportunity it provides to all our children to become confident and safe in and around water. Please help us retain this important feature of our school!
Use of funds
Funds raised will be used to strengthen the ground beneath the pool area, rebuild the retaining wall that holds up the pool area, fix the cracked concrete and build wooden bleacher seating.
