Kiana French has been invited to join her fellow basketball team members on a once in a life time trip to the USA at the end of this year...

Our daughter Kiana has been given the opportunity to attend a trip to the USA and experience life attending a college over there plus numerous other sights and trips...In order for this dream to become a reality we are currently fundraising and asking if any of our friends and whanau would be willing to help donate to see her get over there...Coming from two teenage parents who haven't always been the best example she has turned out to be a true blessing with her determination, thoughtfulness and her kind heart...She is a dedicated basketball player and has been for the last 6 years and for her to make it over there to experience the world at such a age would be a great achievement...She has mentioned numerous times that she understands if she cant go given the cost, but as her parents we will do everything from fund raising to working longer hours to try and get her over there...Anything and everything offered to us would be greatly appreciated and help us tremendously...Kia ora

As her parent I have spoken to numerous people about the cost of all of this, and with their help and suggestions a common theme was to create a "Give a little page" which leaves it open for anyone wanting to help her and us out.

Use of funds

Flying from Christchurch to Philadelphia. Apart from visiting schools in the area we also plan to visit New York, Washington DC and Philadelphia have tours into and around New Jersey and Atlantic City. We have planned for the a chance to attend a college basketball game along with a NBA game, and we are also hoping to attend a Broadway show as well as visiting all the must see sights. They will be attending the college over there. She is also leading the group in performing our Maori Culture.
