To aid with ongoing costs involved in Kurt's fight in the final stages of stage 4 melanoma and funeral costs

After an initial misdiagnosis from Palmerston North Hospital Kurt was diagnosed with terminal stage 4 melanoma in March 2016.

Chemo and radiation therapy were not going to be an effective option with his cancer.

While in Australia on honeymoon in June 2016 his condition worsened and he was admitted to Perth hospital where he lucky enough to be prescribed one of the super drugs not available in New Zealand.

His conditioned improved significantly on his return to NZ. To get a repeat prescription of these drugs Kurt & Russell borrowed money against their motor vehicle to enable Kurt to go back to Perth in November 2016.

Within 2 weeks of his return they received the devastating news that the cancer had mutated and that the drug treatment was no longer effective.

Since then the cancer has ravaged his body with the news 2 days ago that it had spread to his brain.

This page has been set up to assist with the ongoing expenses involved with Kurts treatment and to assist with the inevitable funaral expenses.
