We need your help so we can keep offering our Lake House community a creative outlet and entertainment during this lockdown period

Auckland

The Lake House Arts Centre was always a busy hub for our local community. With our art gallery, cafe, classes and lovely grounds, there were always people bustling around. With us all in lockdown, and our building unable to be entered, we have launched Lake House Arts Interactive "LHAI". We are offering all sorts of online opportunities, including our art classes, but most of our new content is free for our community to enjoy and keep engaged and creative. We would love a bit of financial help from our Lake House whanau so that we can keep on going in these times, to keep you and your children entertained, and so we can come back better than ever when we are able to re-open our centre.

Lake House Arts Interactive is our new e-learning initiative to engage our current community, and extend our reach further afield by bringing a variety of exciting original content online.

Both our adult and kids classes are heading online, as well as a whole range of other interactive activities for families to enjoy.

We aim to engage our community and keep us all connected through our own individual creativity, while learning some new tips and tricks along the way.

Parents can now participate in their children's classes, and people from all over New Zealand are able to be a part of our Lake House Arts whanau.

Our three areas of e-offerings are Education, Events, and Exhibitions.

Education: As well as our usual classes now being available online, we also have a range of new e-learning opportunities like webinars, full day and half day courses, and our new Art Club. We can offer up to 200 scholarships per class, for those who would not normally have the ability to enjoy these sorts of activities, or for those who's income have been affected by Covid-19.

Events: already we have been live streaming exhibition openings, but our new events and entertainment offerings include performances, musicians, and play readings.

Exhibitions: While our physical gallery is great for our local community, we are bringing our current exhibitions online, as well as other artwork we think needs to shared with our wider whanau. The majority of these artworks will be available to view and purchase.
