Leonie had been back and forth from the hospital with severe leg pain, numbness, aching and pins and needles countless times science may 2017, only to be sent away with tramadol.
On her birthday 20 October 2017 she went to the doctor telling him that she had lost use of her bowels and bladder, only then did the doctor admit her to hospital fearing something serious.
After a couple days of non stop tests, testing for different things as well as cancer due to Leonie's history having had kidney cancer and having her kidney removed and had her third year cancer free in July 2017.
The doctors told Leonie that she has a mass at the bottom of her spine 6cm by 4 cm in size that went undetected due to it being a silent killer (clear cell cancer-stage 4 in the bone cancer that will eventually travel to her brain) and said she would be lucky to live a year.
Leonie has spent the past 2 months adjusting to this shocking news but is rapidly getting worse.
She is in need of a personal carer at all times now and wants nothing more but to see her son get married in Rarotontga in march 2018.
She can't make it to her see her son get married without a carer to help her and she is unable to pay for a carer to come and the longer she waits the more expensive it becomes.
Leonie has always been such a kind caring and helpful woman who would give anything to anyone if it would help.
Because of her bubbly, kind personality she has cared for so many people being a school bus driver for over 15 years and just a loving person it would mean so much if we can give a little back and make her last wish possible --To see her son get married
It would mean the world for my mum to be able to make it to see her son get married in Rarotonga in march and i am trying anyway i can to raise money to make it possible.
