Holly has been accepted into the prestigious New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. It’s expensive so she is fundraising to get there.
Bay of Plenty
Our very talented Holly has been offered a scholarship to the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts in Manhattan, New York.
She would love to complete the two year course, on acting for film and tv, but needs to fund raise the large amount of money to cover all of her expenses including accommodation and other living expenses.
“About 5 weeks ago I was doing a bunch of research into acting academies all over the world and the New York conservatory for Dramatic arts stood out to me so I registered my interest. A week later I got an email saying they were offering Australian and New Zealand applicants a full tuition scholarship if they can complete their application by next week, so obviously I had to go for it. I auditioned through a zoom call face to face with Richard Omar (the Artistic director and president of NYCDA) and Elaine Capella (my admissions advisor). I had to perform a 1 minute monologue, then they gave me direction and got me to do again differently. I nailed it!
Two weeks later I got a call from Elaine and she told me I had been accepted into the two year acting for film and television programme with a $13,500 (US) scholarship per year!
The whole course, including accommodation, living, transport etc costs $70,000 once my scholarship is included.
I’m going to leave school soon and get a full time job (or two) to get as much money together as I can. I would really appreciate it if you could help give a little to help get me there.
Thank you so much.
Holly “
