Let's give Rata and Marc a hand

We are putting this page together to help our friends. If you've been sent a link to this page, Rata and Marc are probably your friends or whanau too. Together, we can support them as they bravely take on little Isaac's battle against leukaemia.

Often, when things go terribly wrong, friends will say, "If there is anything I can do to help, don't hesitate to ask." But as a general rule, those who need help the most, don't ask. They are simply too busy - getting on with coping!

Besides, when you have a sick child, what would you really want to ask for other than a miracle?

Rata and Marc are now those friends, and we know, if the roles were reversed, they would have our backs. So rather than asking 'how can we help' - we decided to just get on and do it. This page is a chance for us all to 'chip in'. Maybe some money towards gas, for one of those interminably challenging trips they have to make up to Starship to fight the good fight. Or perhaps to help with the grocery bill. A way for mates to offer a bit of a hand with all those little things... that can start to feel like huge things when life knocks your feet out from under you.

We haven't set a target on this one - rather, the idea is to create a space for us to 'do our bit to help'. Because whilst our thoughts might count, we all know it's our actions that ultimately make the real difference!
