Let's help Pedja in his battle with CLL

  • Update on Pedja

      27 February 2020

Shortly after our latest update, Pedja ended up back in hospital with yet another infection. While in hospital he made the difficult decision to start chemotherapy. His first round of chemo was last week. He is currently still in hospital and Michelle has been with him the whole time, while some wonderful family friends have been looking after the children.

This past week, while still in hospital, he has fought more infections, fevers and a large hematoma. However, he is an absolute fighter and over the last couple days some of his strength and appetite have returned. The next goal is to get him well enough to return home again, - hopefully until he has his next round of chemo in one months time.

For the most part of the last three months, Pedja has been unable to work, so your wonderful donations have contributed towards supplements and treatments as well as supporting the family in many of their day-to-day costs.

This update comes with a huge thank you from Michelle and Pedja for all your love, support and continued prayers!

Apologies for not providing a recent update on Pedja!

For those of you who have been asking - Pedja's health has unfortunately not reached a level where he would be well enough to travel overseas. However, he and Michelle have spent almost four weeks in Wellington where Pedja has had daily IVC (intravenous Vitamin C) and ozone treatment. At the end of this week they will return to the Wairarapa and the rest of the family. Michelle and Pedja hope that it may become possible for him to get IVC treatment in Carterton or Masterton so that he is able to do this closer to home.

At this stage this page will come to a close at the end of the month, however we may consider extending the cut-off date depending on how things progress and what further treatments may be needed. In the meantime, we thank all those generous people who have made it possible for Pedja and Michelle to be able to fund this treatment and ease the pressure on Pedja so he can take some time off work.

  • Where we're at...

      15 December 2019

Thank you so much to all of you for your ongoing support and donations! Pedja and the family feel so blessed by each of you and are so very grateful for all the donations which have come in.

The last few weeks have seen Pedja battling another infection as well as having a number of hospital visits for blood and platelet transfusions.

He has been given a home care plan to get him fit enough to travel to a clinic in Thailand and their doctor is working with them to achieve this goal. He has also started Vitamin C transfusions to help give his immune system the boost it needs. With these combined treatments they hope that he will be well enough to travel soon!

So while Michelle and Pedja work on getting him healthy enough to fly, we can work on getting them to their financial goal! So please keep sharing this page as so many of you have already been doing!

    With much love and gratitude,

    Viv
