This page is to help try and reduce any financial strain on our family and allow us to support Nikita on her long road to recovery.

My youngest sister Nikita had a serious accident on the 8th of May, which left her in critical condition and paralysed at the young age of 20.

As a family we are devastated for our little firecracker who's life will never be quite the same again.

The doctors are optimistic she will get full use of both arms again with intense rehabilitation.

Nikita has been and is going through living hell and it is a long road to recovery.

If you know Nikita you will know what a firecracker she is, full of life and always full of banter.

Nikita had to be flown from Wellington ICU to Christchurch ICU where she will remain for another few weeks, she will then be moved on to Burwood's spinal rehabilitation clinic for 6 months.

To support Nikita long-term means a lot of travelling to and from Wellington, as well as accommodation while we're in Christchurch.

We are not usually the kind of family to ask for help and never in a million years did I think we would be in this situation but desperate times call for desperate measures and we're reaching out asking for help, if you're able.

Next step rehabilitation! 16 June 2022

Nikita's time in the ICU has finally come to an end and she has moved to Burwood Hospital, where she starts a new chapter in her recovery journey - rehabilitation.

I am so incredibly proud of my sister, she is the strongest, bravest, most resilient person that I know ❤️

There have been so many battles she has had to overcome and her ongoing strength and courage is admirable.

It's so heart-warming knowing the impact Nikita has had in so many people's lives. She has so many people in her corner, cheering her on and reminding her often how awesome and loved she is. We've got your back, Nikita.

I am so proud of you.

A massive thank you for all for the support, prayers, well wishes and generosity. You have helped our family more than we could have ever imagined and we can't thank you enough ❤️
