Life saving weight loss surgery towards kidney transplant.
If Melody doesn't get this surgery her health will sadly keep deteriorating until it is too late.

Melody started getting sick at age 13 and started her dialysis journey in April 2010. Her story is very heartbreaking and I want to see her finally enjoy life.
Age 13...she was diagnosed with Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) and Scheuermann's Disease.
Age 15... we found out she was allergic to penicillin by having Anaphylaxis. Her kidney's couldn't handle the reaction and went into complete acute renal failure. This is when her dialysis journey started.
Since this happened she has had over 30 surgeries, we lost count, and it just doesn't seem to end for her. These surgeries include many fistulas, grafts, VP shunts, peritoneal dialysis tubes, temporary lines, parathyroidectomy and more.
With all that has happened to Melody she struggles to lose weight as she is unable to exercise like most of us can. This surgery will enable her to reach her goal weight and be able to finally have her life saving transplant of which I am the compatible donor.
The reason we need to raise the funds is because the DHB will not pay for it but if it is not done she will not be able to get on the transplant list which is what is needed to save her life. People sadly do not do dialysis forever so we are not sure how long she can go on like this. She has nowhere else on her body for more fistulas or permacaths which are used to do dialysis.

UPDATE:
I'm on my last Permacath which is almost at its end and I only have one other option for access to keep me alive which every time I get one of these types of new access it clots and never works. I am at the point of crying everyday of being so scared of dying that I stress myself out and recently put myself into ICU from a seizure that put me out for 50+ hours.
This past year has been the worst and most stressful.
I have goals in my life that I would love to pursue and achieve. For me to do this I need to first fight this life's struggle and I've been doing it for the past 13+ years. Now I need your help to please help me live on further. I really don't want to die at the age of 26. Please help me live !!!!
