My little girl was born 3 years ago with an extremely rare chromosomal disorder, called Trisomy 9 Mosaicism. Lily is a miracle child.
Auckland
Lily-Grace was born with an extremely rare chromosomal disorder, called Trisomy 9 Mosaicism. The condition is so rare that there are only around 170 cases known today world-wide. That's about 1 in forty million by this Dad's calculations! The fact Lily is even with us is a miracle. Her body went into cell repair in utero and despite the condition she is a little miracle defying negative prognosis by some professionals. Lily is walking and talking which is amazing. But she has needed ongoing healthcare. ie. (4 times with pneumonia before her tonsils were removed). Thank you for the support we received on my wife's previous Givealittle page over the last couple of years. This page will help Lily going forward.
I am Lily's Dad and I love my little girl dearly. We lost our first child at 10 weeks before Lily and we don't want to lose her! We are also old parents, so this is our only opportunity to fully support this amazing child. Please do look at the Youtube Video I made. We really appreciate your help.
The funds raised for Lily are to help get a best start in life as she has developmental delays. Lily's Mum gave up work to care for Lily, so this Dad is the sole bread winner. We need help with the ever increasing cost of living in Auckland. We need help keeping Lily in her home, which is warm and dry and safe. Lily is also on constant medicine and therapies that are not subsidised. The more help we get in the early years as Lily's brain develops the better for her long-term.
Was lovely to meet you Gabrielle. Hopefully we'll see you again there! Thanks for this donation. Very much appreciated. Love from Team Lily. :-)
