life in the chair

10 years ago I was hit with non treatable seizures, no amount of medication was helping. 11 months ago I had a major fit causing two ambos to have to try remove me from my home in front of my 5 children,who you can imagine were so upset. As it turns out I have now lost the use of both of my legs which have no feeling or muscle contraction, I have postural alterations, loss of lumber range, disc herniation and spinal cord compression, crushed disc which is blocking spinal cord, loss of neurological muscle strength. I have had and still going threw an uphill battle with ACC as they are trying to get out of covering me, since Epilepsy is a medical condition not an "accident",which is crazy since my epilepsy has been put down to a head injury. I am going threw rehabilitation at Burwood spinal Unit and seeing a chiropractive specialist 3x a week who is trying to keep the blood flow to my legs working before it results in more damage. The stress of all this has caused a huge impact on my family. Im not asking for a lot but just a little help from people that could make all the difference. Life at the moment is a struggle, living in a two story house while stuck in a wheel chair. The bills are adding up and soon i wont be able to afford the chiropractor and the equipment that I should be entitled to, so im really left with no other choice but to ask for much needed needed help, to help myself.
