Liz Patterson

Ernie and Liz Patterson purchased a caravan from Hodge RV Co Ltd that was sold as "brand new" in late 2011. After having problems with the caravan they ended up fighting Hodge RV in court.

Hodge RV claimed the caravan was a 2007 model. Ernie and Liz reckoned it could be as old as 2004.

Ultimately the judge ruled against them, and said the caravan could be described as “brand new” even though at least four years old. Throughout this ordeal Ernie's health worsened and he passed away on the weekend of 12th July. Two days later Liz was slammed with a $25,000 bill for Hodge RV legal costs.
