Hiking to Lochnagar, Mt Aspiring NP, 7 days mainly off trail, ascent of 4400m, in support of Jairos Jiri, School for the Deaf, Zimbabwe

Waikato

I'm doing a seven day challenging tramp into Lochnagar in the Mt Aspiring National Park on the 7th March, which will involve climbing approx. 4400m carrying a heavy pack. I have been training for the past 8 months as it will be gruelling challenge, due to unpredictable weather and an off trail route through the mountains with only a tent for shelter.

I support Jairos Jiri, a School for the Deaf in Gweru, Zimbabwe. I visited the school in 2010 & 2011, when we painted bedrooms, donated clothing, food and sports gear. I am hoping to raise funds for the school so they can purchase teaching supplies, food and sports equipment.

If you would like to sponsor me, please do so and I will endeavour to climb as high as possible with a smile on my face (nearly always) even if it rains!
