Loren's journey biking across Australia

Hi everyone,

I'm so excited to announce that I have been invited on an expedition with Brando 'Wildboy' Yelavich, to bike across Australia, from the most Western point, Steep Point, to the most Eastern point, Byron Bay, a total of 4,670kms over hopefully a period of three months (all going well), biking 70-100km's per day whilst carrying 70kgs each worth of equipment, food and 40 litres of water at a time.

We will have to endure all of the threats which Australia has to offer, extreme heat, extreme cold, floods, sand storms, spiders, snakes, other terrifying animals, lack of water and so many unknown daunting things around the corner.

Brando was the first person to circumnavigate New Zealand at the age of 19, he's walked across Greenland, kayaked around Vancouver Island, and somehow he's asked me on his next journey with him. If you know me you know that I have never done anything remotely like this before, but I couldn't be with a more experienced and remarkable person to take me on this adventure!

We are doing this to inspire everyone of what they are capable of doing, to connect with nature, discover ones self and to say yes to the things that scare them. We will be filming for the entirety of the journey, whilst collaborating with production companies to make a documentary of the expedition - regardless of the outcome.

I am fundraising to firstly, to help me get through this expedition and cover any unforeseen costs, but more importantly I’m also raising money for Fundamental Happiness. The organization that Brando set up to inspire, empower and provide experiences like this to others! Brando has done everything he can to ensure that we have the best possible outcome - but I need your help in case of unexpected set backs and emergencies.

Any donation is hugely appreciated and will help us to bike across Australia through the red centre, whilst being positive influences to those who struggle to believe in themselves, and inspire people to say yes to adventure more.
