To help to rebuild his home and spend quality of life on his Papakainga
Peter Swinton 78 year elderly old man diagnosed with lung disease requiring daily oxygen. He is a very generous person, who has helped many people of all walks of life in our community of Waihau Bay for many years.
Due to an electrical fault a fire completely destroyed his home and all of his belongings leaving him homeless and with absolutely nothing and no insurance cover.
Peter is absolutely devastated and realises after years and years of manual labour that now in his later part of his life he will need to start again not knowing how or where to start.
For the love of his land and his surroundings he wishes to spend his last years in no other place then on his own land in Waihau Bay with his four legged best friend his cow Shirley. (Not hurt in the fire)
Due to financial hardship and his emotional well-being and declining health Peter desperately needs our help from not only his own community but anyone else who is able. A small donation of $5.00 could help him well on his way to rebuilding on his land.
