Louie urgently needs your help!!!
Auckland
In the weekend my daughters cat Louie was hit by a car. He's suffered a fractured tail bone, and due to the location of the fracture - is now enduring bladder and rectum issues due to nerve swelling. He's strong young boy and is fighting hard, so we want to give him the best chance we can. He's improving slowly but he needs more time and we have run out of money. My daughter has been suffering from mental health issues for some time now and Louie is everything to her. He's a "therapy cat". To lose him would traumatic for my daughter, and she's beside herself at the thought. Any donation at all would be appreciated, no matter how big or how small. The total invoice so far is $725.20, however its obviously increasing.
***EDIT*** 19/11/19 - Been to see Louie this evening and he's made improvements. He's booked for a specialist appointment tomorrow and will need an ultra-sound ($400-500) to see where exactly the problem is. After the appointment we will have a better idea of potential costs should we raise enough to afford them. Could be looking at up to 8k, we will find out tomorrow. A MASSIVE thank you to everyone who has donated so far, but please keep sharing - so we can afford get our little Louie home.
Any unused funds will be donated to Auckland cat rescues.
Louie is my daughters cat
This money will go directly towards his veterinary bills.
Louie says thanks 10 December 2019
We have Louie at home now and he is much happier about that, he was having 2 trips per day to the vets to get his bladder expessed but I am happy to say that he is regaining sensation in that area and is doing small pees often now and hasn't had to go to the vet since Saturday night which is awesome. While we were at the vet on Saturday we discovered that he had an abscess consisting of fatty tissue as a result of the accident trauma which may have to be surgically removed but at the moment it's wait and see. His tail is still warm and not bothering him too much at the moment..feeling has come back to the top 3rd (near the legs) so hoping the rest will come back and he dosent have to have that removed.
That's about it for now.. Louie's says thank you so much for helping to get him to this point, he's feeling a bit better now. Thanks everyone
