6 months year old pup needing help for illness and vet investigations for diagnosis.
Levin, Manawatu-Wanganui
Hi everyone!
My name is Daisy 🌼🐕. I am a 6 months y/o King Charles Cavalier Lowchen cross. Sadly, I haven't been very well lately and have been vomiting weekly for the past few months 😔. My mummy and daddy have been taking me to the vet multiple times as they've been so worried about me.
At first, it was thought I might just be eating too fast, upsetting my tummy. But things took a worrying turn when I became very unwell vomitting multiple times in a row with a very uncomfortable gurgling stomach 🤢. I was rushed to the emergency vet for x-rays and blood tests, which showed concerning results that required further investigation. Any help would be very much appreciated to help me to continue to live my best life and thrive ✨️. I would really love to continue to make new friends at the dog park, try new tasty treats, and explore 🐾 without having to worry about being unwell.

Current update since initial testing. 19 January 2026
Thank you so much to everyone who has donated and supported Daisy so far!. We really appreciate it❤️. Here are the updates since starting this page:
Daisy has vomited once since her last vet appointment (bile acids testing) on the 22nd of December 2025. Although we would prefer for her to not be vomiting at all, this is a huge improvement because she was vomiting on a much more regular basis prior.
As part of a new plan with the vet to determine the cause of illness, she has been put on a prescription diet (Royal Canin puppy gastrointestinal (wet and dry food). Although quite expensive, it is helping her alot and we think may be the reason her vomiting has subsided.
To confirm, the funds raised will be going straight towards the emergency vet consultations for investigations. These included multiple x-rays, blood tests, and bile acids test. If there are any funds leftover, they will go towards her new prescription food.
We are very grateful that Daisy doesn't have a liver shunt 🙏. However, the cause of her illness is still unknown. At present, she is doing well and we hope she will continue to make progress 🙏🐾🐕❤️.
