Based in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia Lucky Paws NGO is the first and only animal rescue organisation run solely by volunteers.

Aztai Savar or Lucky Paws NGOis a companion animal welfare organisation in Mongolia, based in Ulaanbaatar. It is run by volunteers only and we receive no public funding, only relying on our Facebook page and groups to raise funds for certain cases.
Last year, we were able to operate on 100 dogs and cats, this year we aim to increase that to 300 animals. Each spay costs approximately USD 50.
We are also working on changing/updating the current laws and legislation on owning a pet (registered breeders only, mandatory government registration, microchipping, selling pups and kittens over 2 months old, spay/neutering, no littering, no abandoning pets etc). At the moment, dogs are being shot dead as they walk around with their owner but without a leash, or just outside their property without their owner.
I am an avid animal activist and due to living overseas this is the only way I can help the organisation. I also work online by gathering information, getting people together on Facebook (group) to save the dogs and cats that are lost, abandoned or stray who need our immediate attention.
Use of Funds:
- Continue our small scale spay and neutering efforts. Every dog that enters the NGO will be spayed or neutered.
- Spread awareness about the effectiveness of spay and neuter programs through events and media.
- Continue with our efforts of treating injured animals and at-risk puppies, find them safe and loving homes.
