I am raising money to contribute towards opening up a medical centre to provide ongoing medical care to children living in an orphanage.

In 2017 I spent three months in Uganda as a volunteer Nurse. As well as working alongside local Doctors and Nurses in a medical clinic, I spent quite a lot of time visiting children living in the slums. Together with a local charity, we provided food and wound care to these children.

The founder of the charity (Patrick) grew up on the streets so knows exactly what these children suffer through everyday. With future goals to get as many children off the streets as possible, orphanages have been built along with a community centre.

My goal for 2018 is to raise as much money as possible and to head back over in September to open up a medical centre to ensure these children always have ongoing access to healthcare. Patrick has the biggest heart of anyone I know and it will be my absolute pleasure to continue to help him make his difference in the world.

Use of funds

All money raised will help me with all costs associated in getting a brand new medical clinic up off the ground, as well as ongoing running costs to ensure these children always have access to healthcare.
