Gisborne Boardriders needs a new trailer to make surfing more accessible

$5,810 of $5,300 goal
Given by 82 generous donors in 12 weeks

A new trailer to keep creating opportunities for Tairāwhiti communities and a development pathway for our young surfers. Sharing the stoke!

Gisborne

Without a new trailer, Gisborne Boardriders cannot run surf events and initiatives in Gisborne or up and down the coast.

Our current trailer is more than 20 years old and needs replacing fast. Without one we won't be able to make surfing accessible to people in our community or foster the amateur sport of surfing through regional competitions and events which are crucial to develop a pathway for our young surfers and people.

A new trailer will allow us to store all contest equipment and also provide more mobile learn to surf and community experiences up and down the coast from Hicks Bay to Mahia. We will also be able to provide food at our events and travel as a team to national events across NZ.

We do not have a clubhouse and so a trailer is desperately needed to safely store all our equipment and to continue to share the stoke and the love for our sport.

Use of funds

All raised funds are going towards the purchase of a new trailer. If target is exceeded or things don't go to plan, money will be used for purchase of equipment necessary for events and initiatives.
