MARTIN STEVENSON: My Uncle Battling Cancer.

My Uncle is our families ROCK, always there when we need a helping hand, cooking, working, cleaning, helping where he can. Now my Uncle has cancer.

My sister Kiri died at 6 years of age of an aggressive brain tumour, blind and unable to walk and my Uncle didn't hesitate to come and live with our family to help care for her, giving up his job and time with his wife and children.

I was young but I remember him always looking after my sister and helping my Mum and Dad along with my brother and sisters.

His older brother recently had cancer and again he went to live with his family to help them through that difficult time.

My Uncle puts everyone ahead of himself and will do anything for his family and friends. He would never ask for a handout, so... now is his time to accept support and our time to "pay it forward".

Having to have extensive chemo and radiotherapy for his throat cancer and with no regular income at present, I have started this page to help support my Uncle in his time of need and to help avoid any more stress in a stressful situation.
