Matthew Free is off to Hungary for 3 months for judo on his journey to the next Olympics. Judo is a non funded sport in NZ.
Waikato, Waikato District
Matthew has been invited to travel to the International Judo Training Institute in Hungary to train and prepare with other fellow potential Olympic Judoka's, who are all chasing the Olympic dream. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity where he will be training every day all day and then during the weekends will be competing around Europe trying to gain his international points he needs to be selected for the Olympic team. Matthew needs help in fundraising for funds to get him competing throughout Europe and to Doha for the World Champs. Judo is a non funded individual sport and every bit of help he can get financially will help him achieve his goal and put Judo in the spotlight.
I am Matthew's Mother who has been supporting his judo career from the start.
All money raised will go towards Matthew being able to compete in other countries around Europe and the World Champs in Doha. He needs to gain international points to get selected for the New Zealand Olympic team.
