We desperately need continual financial assistance and sponsorship in the hope we can continue to provide hope to dog owners Nationwide.
Wellington
The Missing K9 Response was brought to life in April 2018 after a missing beagle 'Benny' was successfully located in the Bush in Belmont Regional Park after 9 days of being lost.
We are a Volunteer organization that for the last 18 months have been tirelessly working/helping to aid local dog owners in the surrounding communities to locate their lost, missing and stolen dogs as well as offering deceased remains recovery and compassion, emotional support through the whole process.
We are very much in need of donations and sponsorship so that we can continue to provide our valuable work within the community.
We still have equipment that we need to purchase as well as putting some of our volunteers through Animal Evac courses and Animal first Aid couses.
It is our hope to branch out in the coming years Nationwide, recruiting other dedicated volunteers and dog lovers to come on board in the hope of providing our services to dog owners around the country who find themselves faced with the adversity of having a lost, missing, stolen or deceased k9.
Without your constant encouragement and very much appreciated financial support we would not be able to progress with the work we are so passionate about.
Currently, funds will be paid to my bank account as I am in the process of becoming a not-for-profit but the task is immense with a huge amount of paperwork. Once the not-for-profit is set up and we have a bank account in the name of Missing K9 Response we will update the Givealittle profile.
Every cent that is donated will be only used for the Missing K9 Response and I have a qualified Accountant-Hilaire Cornelius who is a Volunteer in our team who will keep an account on what the money is used for.
The money that is donated with be used for specialist equipment for our organization and other related expenses.
Missing K9 Response Wellington NZ Update 2020 6 July 2020
Greetings from the MK9R team.
2020 has been a very busy year so far.
We are looking to expand nationwide this year and next which is going to involve purchasing more equipment specifically microchip scanners, uniforms and in the field equipment.
Most of our cost are travel expenses as we are traveling to locations all around the Wellington region and beyond.
None of our volunteers are paid for any time in the field, time spent online and on the phone comforting and supporting owners in their time of need and we do all this because we love dogs and want to see all dogs lost, missing or stolen reunited with their families.
We have spent tireless hours since our conception in the field on physically challenging searches and we are proud to be a unique organization here for all dog owners in the Wellington region and beyond.
We are looking foward to the next 12 months in recruiting response teams nationwide to help bring more dogs home.
We are also expanding into K9 advocacy especially when it come to dog fighting rings, animal testing and ill treatment of dogs.
Thank you so much to all supporters without your continued financial support none of this would me possible.
