Help Mitch Become New Zealand's next paralympic Sprinter. Summer Olympics Tokyo 2020
Auckland
My name is Mitch and in 2013 when i was 18 i lost my right leg below my knee in a work place accident. The accident has ended up being a blessing in disguise by giving me an oppotunity and the motivation to represnt New Zealand as a sprinter on the world stage.
I have been selected to represnt NZ for the first time this year at the oceania champs and the team is yet to be named but i feel good about my chances of making the team to go to the world champs in Dubai at the end of this year, but all of this comes with a hefty price tag and i would be so grateful for any donation no matter how big or how small it will all help!
I juggle trainings around a 60 hour work week and am saving up alot of my own money but its just hard to do it alone so please help me, just a patriotic kiwi keen to wear the fern, in any way you can and it will be greatly appreciated.
Funds will be used for travel and accomadation for international and domestic competitions
World Champs Results 14 November 2019
Hey guys thanks in large part to your genourosity i made it to my first athletics world champs. Its all wrapped up for me now and i can proudly call it a success, i made the final of the 200m in a personal best time and an oceania record. I finished 8th in the final which is exactly the goal i set myself before these champs started.
I also ran a 100m oceania record in my heat but failed to progress to the finals which im alright with, im a 200m specelist and just used the 100m as extra experience.
I fly home in a few days and almost immediatly back into training for the New Zealand domestic season and chasing those Olympic qualifying times.
