More time with Mum

My Mum is dying. My protector, role model, rock and my guide. Prognosis is terminal and without treatment, she has only 3-6 months left with us. Mum has an extremely rare mutation of the genes causing cancer (B-RAF). There is a non-funded drug treatment that can buy her another 3-5 years with my brother, Dad and I, but it is very expensive. These drugs (Cobimetinib and Vemurafenib) slows down and stops the mutation, and when that happens, the cancer starts dying.

Mum has always taught us to look on the bright side of things. Even in her deteriorating health, she still says life is too short to be sad or angry. She's tough and the most resilient person I know, but without this drug, she wont be around to see my brother and I graduate or raise families of our own.
