Mud House restoration Bartletts Creek Northbank
Our names are John & Mary Powell We are trying to raise money to replace the roof on the Popular old mud house in Bartletts Creek.Marlborough
The old mud house in Bartletts Creek, was built between the years 1859 to1864 by my ancestors. Over the years it has been enjoyed by many locals for reasons ranging from wedding photos to organized tours and camping events.
In the early 1990's the families of the Powells, Bartletts & Neils along with many locals got together to rebuild damaged cobb walls, broken windows & damaged floors.
We want to be able to offer this venue for future generations to view but for this to happen we need help.
Years of wind and rain have taken its toll on the roof of the old house and is now time for a replacement.
We want to raise money to have the roof fully rebuilt and any damage fixed so it can be once again enjoyed by the residents of Marlborough and anyone else who has an interest in visiting the beautiful old piece of history.
If you cant give a little then maybe you could help with a skill needed when the time comes please contact us.
