My mum is going through the fight of her life while she tries to beat cancer. We believe that Vitamin C treatment will help her immensely
Gisborne
February of this year 2018 my mum Debbie Wilkie was diagnosed with lung cancer/adenocarcinoma. She had radiation treatment over in waikato during the month of April.
She has always been a strong person with a positive attitude towards life even during this whole journey. She is the rock of our family whom we all adore.
A few weeks after mums radiation treatment she got a chronic headache which lasted almost a week, which no pain medications would touch after taking her to E.D we eventually got a CT scan which showed 2 tumours on her brain, showing that the cancer had spread. Mum is in waikato at the moment having full brain radiation. The doctors have told us that this is not a cure and will hopefully slow the growth of the cancer, and radiation is the only treatment they give mum due to her other health problems. Mum has always been a believer of other medicines and after doing a lot of research we have found that high doses of intovenous vitamin C may also help her fight this fight, although it may not cure her it could help her quality of life and make her feel stronger. The only problem with this is it's not funded and we have to pay for it ourselves. We want to help our mum in anyway we can but the costs are quite expensive. The first consult alone is $285 and each infusion is $195 after that depending on how many she will need the costs will soon add up. We all want and need her with us, and we all strongly believe that this will increase her quality of life.
My mum has always been there for everyone and done anything and everything for anyone and I feel like this is my chance to help her.
The funds received will go towards paying for her Vitamin C treatment.
