I'm trying to raise money to help with my dog Noahs vet bills and the upcomming ones to fight this sickness he has.

Manawatu / Whanganui

Hi everyone

My two year old dog Noah hes a Lab cross shar pei. He loves to run and swim and play with his toys, but most of all his muma.

About 6 weeks ago Noah he had this little scab on his upper lip, it kind of looked like a bite or scratch from a cat. I wasnt to worried and thought it would heal in time. About two weeks past and the leasion got larger including other spots like pimples had turned up. I knew then that he had to see the vet.

Unfortunatley Noah got him self locked up in the pound with one of his buddies. While mum was away seeing family. Well it costed mum $240 to get him out. That was everything mum had left after paying the bills.

We took Noah to the vet and they gave him antibiotics. Well during that course more and more leasions started popping up all over his paw and mouth and his breathing went funny so there may be one up his nose. So in conclude the antibiotics did not work, it made it worse.

Next vet visit, we got told it could be ring worm. We were givin cleaning wipes and antifungal cream. which was a mission to put on a very sore pup. That also hasnt worked.

The vets wont see Noah unless mum makes more payments on the vet bills. shes asked if she can pay $5 a week. But they wont give anymore treatment until most to all has been paid off.

When mum has paid off the first two bills, Noah will be getting biopsy of the leasions, he has to be asleep for this which mum cant afford.

Note There is only 1 vet clinic in the area.

Use of funds

The funds will be going on vet bills, and if we do go over the target. Noah would get a surprise.

Hi Michaela Just would like to mention another option. A vet who specialises in skin complaints in dogs. There are a few in NZ and they are travelling all over NZ. This was recommended to my sister in law, who has a sha pei cross with similar skin problems, by her vet after antibiotics and steroids didn't work. It is more expensive than a normal vet but maybe less than the biopsy. You don't need a referral from your vet. Google 'dog dermatologist'. It will also tell you which areas they covering. My sister in law recommends it highly. Best wishes for you and Noah and I hope he is better soon.
