This Givealittle page has been set up in response to the overwhelming request from individuals and organisations wanting to contribute to the legal appeal of the decision of The Environmental Protection Authority to grant an application from Trans Tasman Resources to mine iron-ore off the coast of Patea.
Ngati Ruanui are legally appealing the decision of the Environmental Protection Authority to stop Trans Tasman Resources ironsand mining application off the coast of Patea. Ngati Ruanui submitted against this application in October 2016.
Te Runanga o Ngati Ruanui Trust is an Iwi Organisation established to lead the environmental, economic, social, cultural and futuristic aspirations of Ngati Ruanui and their communities. With an intergenerational focus that leaves a positive legacy for Aotearoa future.
Funds donated will be used to offset costs of the legal appeal process being undertaken by Ngati Ruanui.
