NZ Dancers go global.

We are writing on behalf of our professional dance students who are excelling in their chosen field. These students have successfully auditioned for International Competitions and Summer Intensives. In order for them to take up these incredible opportunities we are seeking sponsorship.

These students have shown their dedication and passion to the artform and have decided that this is what they wish to do with their lives.

Their recent successes include:

Four students accepted to the Youth American Grand Prix in New York, this is the most prestigious competition in the world for students aged 9 – 19 years old with over 10,000 dance students auditioning and only 350 being accepted. The students accepted into this competition are taught and spectated by the worlds leading company directors. This makes this competition the worlds biggest scholarship competition with students being awarded scholarships to summer intensives and well as being awarded company apprenticeships and full contracts in the Senior level. These students will be competing against the worlds best.

Seven students accepted into the American Ballet Theatre Summer Intensive in New York and eight students accepted into the American Ballet Theatre Young Dancers Summer Intensive, over 8000 students audition for this five week course with only 120 students accepted, making these students the top 1% of all who audition. These students will be taught by the Ballet Mistresses, masters and company directors of American Ballet Theatre, one of the best ballet companies in the world. Our students dream of being accepted into American Ballet Theatre and with over half of the current company attending this programme they are well on their way.

These opportunities are extremely important to these dancers careers, being seen, known and making contacts helps open doors to their dream companies and contracts.
