Help the New Zealand Falcons get to Purchas in Perth!

🏆 Purchas Cup 2021 to be held in Perth 🏆

The Purchas Cup 2021 will be held in Perth for the very first time, hosted by IGR newcomers Perth Rams RUFC.

This follows a decision made by the Australian and New Zealand gay and inclusive clubs to add Perth into Purchas Cup biennial rotation prior to the NZ Falcons RFC, who will now host the cup in 2023.

The Purchas Cup is now the largest event on the Southern Hemisphere’s gay rugby calendar – with teams being invited to travel from around Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia to Perth to compete in our Australasian regional IGR International Gay Rugby tournament.

With the Trans-Tasman bubble in operation, we hope to be able to send a team from New Zealand to Perth, Western Australia. For more information about our non-profit community-based team, please visit nzfalcons.org.nz

Funds raised will be used to cover accommodation, entry fees and equipment required for the Purchas Cup 2021. If there is a surplus, we'd look at helping out the team with a contribution towards airfares. If borders re-close, we'd hold the funds in our Registered Society account for us at either a future Purchas Cup event, or, for the Bingham Cup - originally scheduled for 2020 in Ottawa, Canada, and now postponed until 2022.
