We saved Ashburton from a dodgy water deal, now we are advocating for the whole of New Zealand. Your donation will be used for costs associated with our water advocacy campaign. Advertising, raising awareness about our waterways, and administration costs. We are also at times charged for Official Information requests that take time for Councils to collate. This information is imperative to us so that we can give the general public a fair and correct overview of what is happening with our waterways.

Fresh water is the world's most precious, finite resource. Bung the Bore organisation must be congratulated for speaking out and for giving all of us the opportunity to create a collective voice. Fresh water management and allocation must be the most important election issue come September and it is up to everyone to encourage a full debate on this essential resource.

We need peaceful protests to keep the water issues in the media. As we have an election this year, it is important that our concerns for the environment are heard. The National Party are not interested in the long term future of our rivers, lakes, water resources, land use etc. They are only interested in making bigger and bigger profits from industrial dairy farming and have little concern for the effect on the environment. I think a protest on a bridge over one of our polluted rivers would draw attention to our concerns. We have to take a stand for future generations.
