CAN YOU HELP? Support the 10th annual OCTACAN appeal by donating coins for cans. $1 = 1 can.

OCTACAN is the annual mid-winter Family Works foodbank appeal. OCTACAN is crucial to stocking Dunedin's busiest foodbank over the cold winter months when demand for emergency food parcels is even higher than normal.

The foodbank currently provides families with about 10,000 food items each month, supporting over 2,000 children in the past year.

When times are hard, Dunedin shows its spirit of generosity. Your support will help us reach our 2018 target of 18,000 cans.

We are asking you to help by encouraging everyone to take part, make it fun with some work place events or competitions and donate your coins to the foodbank.

*Physical cans can be donated during OCTACAN on Thursday 21 June at the Lower Octagon before 2.30pm or directly to the foodbank at 407 Moray Place, Dunedin.
