Billy Stairmand - Olympic Qualification Event
Please Help me achieve my dream to represent New Zealand in the first ever Surfing Event at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.Waikato
A huge goal and dream of mine has always been to represent New Zealand in Surfing and compete in the Olympics. Finally, with surfing being recognised and included in the Tokyo Olympic games in 2020, I will potentially get to do this.
I am one of 3 men who have been selected to represent New Zealand and compete in the ISA World Surfing Games at Miyazaki, Japan in September this year which is one of the qualification events for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
To represent our country comes at a personal cost, meaning there is no financial support and it is really difficult to find funding and sponsorship for this event as many other sports in New Zealand tend to take precedence.
I am reaching out to you and asking for a little help to try and get a kiwi Surfer to the Olympics. I will be competing in WQS (World qualifying series) events in Europe before and after the ISA Worlds so traveling costs are gonna be very expensive to and from.
I personally think this goal of making the Olympic team and representing Our country is VERY achievable and I believe with your backing we can go all the way.
Lets make history together!
Use of funds
All funds will go towards travelling costs. i.e. flights, accomodation, transfers, car rental etc.
Any excess funds will go towards my world qualifying series campaign.
