On the hunt for missing Birthday Cakes!
The Cake Detective is donating homemade individually inspired birthday cakes to children in the Waikato who are in Foster care.

Lots of us have memories of our childhood birthday cakes. They might have been made by our Mum's, Dad's or Grandparents. Some came from the infamous Women's Weekly cake book. They all had something in common, they were all made with love and made us feel a little bit special as we blew out the candles.
Some children in New Zealand aren't so lucky to experience this simple yet loving memory. I endeavor to donate birthday cakes to children in the greater Hamilton area who are in Foster care. The referrals come through the website from caregivers, agencies and charity groups in the Waikato. Each cake is made uniquely for the child and their favorite things be that Frozen, Batman, Music or anything that they are interested in.
I want the child to know that there are people who care about their happiness and without knowing them want them to be able to share these memories that are so common to most of us. A little bit of love and kindness on their birthday.
100% of the donations go towards the ingredients of the cake and the supplies to decorate the cakes.

New give a little page 23 June 2020
Hi all,
Just sending through an update regarding this give a little page. The Cake Detective now has a new give a little page set up as an organisation with the official charity status. Not to worry all donations have been received by us and 100% of which is still used directly to fund the ingredients and supplies for the cakes that are donated to those children going through hardship in the Waikato area. Again thank you all so much for the continued support.
