Raising funds for a ride on lawn mower and trailer to transport mower for the upkeep of Te Rahui Urupa in Hicks Bay.
Gisborne
Between Xmas and New years 2020, myself and fellow whanau members spent two days clearing Te Rahui Urupa at Hicks Bay . This took two days to clear and mow lawns with a rideon mower, a push mower would have taken weeks or months. Below are before and after photos, so as you can see this was a huge Mahi undertaking. Unfortunately, it also meant traveling to Tauranga to pick and return with coussie Eddie Baukhams a rideon lawn mower. This has prompted me to put up a give a little page to purchase a rideon mower for the purpose of maintaining regular up keep of our urupa.
All contributions from whanau members with loved ones interred in our beloved Urupa would be most welcome.
Maintaining above Urupa. This is where my parents and extended whanau are buried.
Rideon lawn mower and trailer, Any additional funds raised will go the maintenance of the mower, trailer and fuel.
Te Rahui Urupa Update 14 August 2021
To all my whanau who have loved ones in Te Rahui Urupa in Wharekahika, that have contributed to my Givealittle page, to raise funds for the upkeep of our urupa, thank you. So far we have raised $1345. I have extended my Givealittle page from July to the end of January, to see if we could reach $5000 to purchase a decent mower. If anyone has any ideas please contact me. Once again, thank you to all those who have contributed to kick start this project. Nga mihi!!
