Help Pete (P119) the cat pay his vet bill...so he can get back to adventuring

Pete is a 1 year old loved member of our small family, he broke his leg in 4 places while out on an adventure...His Vet bill is $1500. He’s refusing to get a job. We are a small family and due to life throwing us a curveball things are very tight, any help would be so appreciated.
Use of funds
Pay Vet bill, any excess will go to Dogwatch and Cats protection league
