“Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; teach him how to catch a fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.”
The outreach program stemmed from a local mountaineering group, wanting to give back to communities at the foot hills of mountains they love to explore. The aim is to support under-resourced schools with educational materials and supplies. ALL proceeds are collected and delivered to these inaccessible schools by Pilipinas Sierra, who ensure much needed aid, reach intended recipients.
I have spent considerable time in remote areas of Ifugao. It used to be my backyard. I remember it as a place where I found peace of mind. In simple ways it has given me so much, I feel drawn to it. With your help, we can make a difference. Through education, we can help build the future of children in these isolated communities.
